Why are MAGA folks still so mad?

I mean, they won, didn’t they?

Shouldn’t they be kicking back, sipping some cheap beer, and enjoying the victory lap? But no, they’re still fuming, veins popping, yelling at the sky like it personally offended them.

The answer is simple: their entire platform runs on one fuel—rage. Anger is their brand. Their anthem isn’t the “Star-Spangled Banner”; it’s just one long primal scream. And while they love to mock liberals as “snowflakes,” they’re the ones frothing over every little thing, like it’s their full-time job to be offended.

These are the same folks who lose their minds if someone dares wear a mask in public, acting like fabric on a stranger’s face is somehow a direct assault on their freedom. “How dare you cover your nose! What’s next? Pants?!” Their rage is so absurd it’s almost poetic.

And let’s not forget their greatest hits: screaming “murderer!” at women making deeply personal decisions about their own bodies, all while yanking food stamps away from the very kids they claim to “save.” They’re basically the political equivalent of those “Live, Laugh, Love” signs—except it’s “Shame, Starve, Rage.”

The truth is, their anger isn’t just a feature—it’s the point. Their entire belief system is built on the idea that everything and everyone is out to get them. The mere existence of someone who doesn’t conform to their worldview is enough to spark fury. Why? Because beneath all that screaming is fear. Fear that their way of life might not be the only way. Fear of change.

And until they’re ready to let go of that fear, the rage is here to stay. You can’t uncoil the fist until you address the trembling hand.

So what exactly is it that they’re so afraid of? Sadly, white male fragility has been around since the moment men decided they were obviously the ones who needed to be in charge. I once read that man invented God just so he could create something to control the power inherent in women. Think about that—an entire divine hierarchy cooked up just to keep women in check. That’s not strength; that’s fear wearing a fake mustache.

And here we are, centuries later, still wrestling with the same fragile egos and misplaced paranoia. So is it even possible to unravel and extract the cancer of fear from the minds of these modern-day conquistadorks? We keep trying. We take steps forward—giant, hopeful leaps—only to feel the backlash snap us back like a tangled fishing line, flailing and frustrated.

But here’s the thing: progress isn’t linear. It’s messy. It’s exhausting. It’s maddening. And still, we keep going. We have to. Because fear may be stubborn, but hope is relentless. It doesn’t quit. Neither can we.
